In the last 5 days I have been stood up 4 times by buyers. On Sunday I was to meet someone at Starbucks to buy a $100 item.

He already lowballed my price. After waiting 10 minutes He claimed he was at the wrong door. There is only 1 door. After additional 10 minutes I messaged him again.

He claimed he was in a white corolla. There was no corolla in the parking lot. I verified with him that he was at the correct Starbucks. He then said he was at a restaurant that he mentioned By Name that was in the same shopping center.

I walked over and Surprise, he wasn’t there. Oddly there was a man standing suspiciously in the parking lot who asked me if I was selling the item I was holding and for how much. I told him my original asking price and he tried to offer me $80. While I was waiting I received 2 other lowball offers on Letgo.

It was the same guy. He didn’t realize that I was the same seller.

He used different combinations of his name as a user. It wasn’t until the 4th lowball offer I figured it out.

This happened to me as well, was selling a bunch of DVD's and I told him to meet down the street in front of a business. He was already difficult to deal with, he wanted to meet the night before because he was somewhat in my area which he really wasn't, still like 20 miles away, but closer then he would had been if he came from his home.

He wanted to meet at 1030pm and I refused, he was not happy. He wrote me the next day and said he'd meet in the next hour so I gave him the location. He pulled the same crap like your buyer did, he said he was there and wasn't, claimed I gave him the wrong address and was getting mad. Said I had to open a gate which there was none.

I then asked him what was next to the store I told him to meet at and he couldn't tell me, but claimed he was there 15 minutes later.

He was playing a sick childish game, I did observe a guy in a car just sitting there so I was suspicous and hoped he didn't follow me home. There's some big time sicko's on there.

I honestly know exact what this feels like. Offerup has so many no shows.

It’s because they know the app won’t do anything about it. Sometimes I think they arrange meet ups to see if they can rob you.

I am so serious about that. It a shady app and the way they promote counterfeiters abd scammers is insane.
