IF ANYONE BUY FROM OFFERUP LOOK OUT FOR SCAMS 2002 JEEP FOR 1000DOLLARS IT'S A SCAM FEDDO U IS NOT REAL.
They ask for your driver's license so you can be audited at the end of the year for the things that you have sold they keep an itemized list of everything you have added to your offer up, and the price! and they tally up the estimated total at the end of the year ,you must claim it on your taxes
I submitted my drivers license and personal information also and have not heard back from the company. I feel its getting out of control.
That's weird! When I signed up for offer up they never asked me for any of that info! Be careful
It's a new thing. It is to "verify identity" and to make other consumers "trust that you are who you say," however ...
If they don't, who cares? Someone else will buy your things and if you aren't legitimate, the authorities can intervene. I was going to do this, hence the reason I'm here now so I'd like to thank you. I am who I say and sell and live honestly.
I need not prove that. If I don't, laws govern that. I won't give my information thanks to your warnings. I truly appreciate your feedback and wish you both well.
Go to the police if you have to but don't wait. It takes moments for someone to do life-altering things like steal from or become you. I've had this happen to me and I am so careful now.
Do something to resolve this like tomorrow. I hope this helps.
Just now, I received email saying I won $3000 from monthly raffle, Asking to download applications, applications looks unreal, so beware from this scam.
I recently had Offerup contact me about winning a raffle. It's a scam. Check your credit information to make sure nothing fishy is happening because that sounds like fraudulent activity.
