I was scammed by a person when trying to buy a car. Not only was I humiliated, but I also wasted 2000 dollars and time trying to get myself a ride for the fall.

I learned a lesson to never take deals from people who can't even give you their phone number. I'm extremely disappointed and clueless as to why someone would ever try to screw a customer over, especially a 16 year old with not much money to start with. In a way, this whole situation is kind of my fault. I should have known that the deal was too good to be true.

The person I dealt with made not only made a fake identity, but also a fake amazon account with fake customer service. I was totally deceived and tricked into giving the dealer all the money in gift cards, which can not be refunded.

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Monetary Loss: $2000.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan

Offer Up needs to police it site better. I'm all too wise to the potential scams.

There we attempts to scam. I'm not too happy with the lack of control over these scammers!
