After 24 hour on the platform they required my very personal information (driver's license, passport) to just continue to be able to use it, without any reasoning why when others are clearly not required the same. Terrible approach when privacy and data breaches abound.

I just started using this app and First off, there's no instructions for using the app. There's no customer service.

So whomever bought my item will never get it because of YOUR APP not providing a proper link that works and for not accepting all forms of debit cards.

Not everybody has a bank account in a bank!!! This app SUCKS.

I had a purchased sale and was tempted to be defaulted on OfferUp website when I tried to receive my money

Was defaulted on a purchase sale of a 40 pc china on OfferUp website. I received a message that I had a sale of 772.49 and receive this money I had to verify my bank account.

When doing so they wanted me to confirm my account. They tried to take out money instead of putting money in my bank account.

I immediately transferred my money out of checking and contacted the bank. Do not buy or sell on this site

Terrible customer service

Their customer service or chat service is an automated response. There are no real human beings to chat with and you cant call them.

What happened happened was I bought an item for this customer or seller who is new to offer up an offer ups policy is if its not shipped with him for five days they canceled the transaction, I want them to more time for the sender or the seller to ship the item. I had to go back a second time in my video item wouldve showed up for sale again and we went through the same process. They canceled it again after four days because it has not been shipped, so I went back a third time and purchase the item And Im just waiting to see if its gonna be shipped, but I asked the customer service to not cancel the item. If its not shipped within four days, I asked them to wait longer to give the seller more time but their response was on all three cases was the turn my app off and then turn it back on again Which means they didnt understand the question.

I had no clue as to what I was saying so this automated response does not work and it frustrates buyers and sellers.

I dont know how to get a hold of them. Dont find it to somebody whos got a brand new actually works for them , but who understands a simple question that I have thanks for listening

What a joke!!! They want $8.00 a month.

Seems like you can only buy locally? This company is difficult to get a hold of and its systems are designed to squeeze money from us.

The entire shipping fiasco is so unprofessional. Sellers have no idea what shipping costs are.

Just to clarify, our Premium subscription is entirely optional. You can still use OfferUp for free, and the subscription helps us maintain the platform while offering additional features for those who choose it. As for shipping, costs vary based on item weight (up to 20lbs) and are displayed clearly before you confirm the purchase, so you know exactly what you’re paying for. We want to make sure the process is transparent, so there are no surprises.

To avoid delays or unresponsive sellers, I personally like to reach out to the seller first before making an offer, just to confirm that they’re active and able to ship on time. Also, keep an eye out for the Responsiveness tag on a seller’s profile — this shows how quickly a user typically replies and can help you connect with someone more responsive. OfferUp poor return review policy

I sold a purse to a customer who preemptively file for a refund before even seeing the item as it was still at the post office. This was her admission by the way.

She stated she wasnt going to be able to collect the package within the 48 hours per OfferUp so shell make refund request to protect herself in case something is actually wrong with the bag. I never agreed to that being something Im ok with. After I confronted her about that not being what the refund process if for, she then changed her story and stated that an aide picked it up after all and that the bag wasnt what was described to her which was not true and she then switched her reasoning to she filed because the item didnt match what I said. After more back and forth, her stories kept changing for the worst.

Constantly contradicting herself. I asked OfferUp to review our message change so they can see that this woman was clearly lying. They came back saying this lady provided with evidence stating otherwise. I asked OfferUp what evidence was this she presented so I can see what this was and the OfferUp support person kept giving vague responses in terms of the buyers claim and lame duck policy.

OfferUp never reviewed our message chain in their so called investigation because had they done so they wouldve clearly seen this woman did not follow the proper steps nor meet deadlines plus the blatant lies. OfferUp is a horrible example of a marketplace for sellers as they offer no transparency in the review or investigatory process.

Charge for service for 2nd time

I was upset the first time when I was charged. I had no luck at all selling my furniture, which I now have to pay to give it away, and they wouldn't reverse it.

I was told to cancel the subscription. My son and I both checked and saw no box to tick off.
